Ron Lutsko, Landscape Architect

San Francisco Landscape Architect, Ron Lutsko, Lutsko Associates Landscape designed the Humboldt Botanical Garden’s conceptual Mater Plan in 1997.  Lutsko is one of America’s foremost botanical garden designers.  He has a particular interest in mediterranean climate gardens and the use of native plants within them.  He was awarded the National Award of Merit from the American Society of Landscape Architects for his design of the Arthur Menzies Garden of California Native Plants at the Strybing Arboretum in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.  Among his many other projects are the Mediterranean Garden at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA; the Redding Arboretum Master Plan; and the Alpine Fell Field and Serpentine Garden at the U.C. Botanical Gardens in Berkeley.
